Yessireee folks the moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. Don Limpio has crawled kicking and screaming from the ever widening cracks of the digital divide. But unlike Pawxitawny Bill, Don Limpio is not one to flinch at the sight of his own shadow. He charges head first into the mediocre melee currently known as contemporary music with sonic fists a flying. So please come and indulge yourselves in those deliciously naughty little pleasures you've been hiding from all these nights, curled twitching under your covers. Give a little listen to the Don Limpio's sonic sweet and sour sauce and see for your self if tasting isn't believing. But be for warned; Don Limpio has spiked the punch. Having scoured the rubbish bins of world culture for those juicy little nuggets of sound that time forgot, Don Limpio does his magic; processing, blending, twisting, melding and mutating like a musical mad hatter. Use with caution. Results may vary.
Don Limpio's pesky real-time alter ego is Sherwin Jones, photographer, visual artist, experimental sound enthusiast, roboteer and collector of multi cultural kitsch. Currently paying the bills and spreading cultural imperialism by teaching English in Barcelona, Spain, Sherwin began his forays into the nether regions of music over a decade ago. After picking up a cheap, second-hand Fostex 4-track, he began recording the sounds of rubber balls tumbling in a cloths dryer. It all went down hill from there, as Sherwin cooked up hours of barely listen able analog noise-scapes, sound collage, and lo-fi synth pop in his dank basement studio in Virginia. Upon adopting the life of an international nomad, Sherwin went digital and discovered the multiple pleasures of phat beats, loop syncing and fusin gcatchy melodies with found sounds. Thus the Don Limpio project was born.
